Nojazz at The Quarter
This February, The Quarter will play host to an exceptional French electronic music band named NoJazz. This unforgettable band draws inspiration for their memorable tunes from jazz and soul music. Their latest album, Soul Simulation, was a product of their unstoppable force merged with the immovable mixing genius of Thomas Atom (Of Stromae and C2C fame). It features some pretty solid guest collaborations with legends like Stevie Wonder, Maurice White, and Bishop Lamont. Like all things Jazz, Nojazz is also the beautiful union of musical talents from all over the place, coming together in holy music-mony in 2001. They announced their presence to the world through their smashing debut album, released in 2002.
This group has entertained over 50 countries with their explosive act and has thrilled audiences at some the biggest music festivals. Nojazz has always featured diverse collaborators such as Teo Macero, a legendary producer who has collaborated with Miles Davis and worked at Columbia. Macero was the producer who simulated soul into Soul Simulation in New York. Whether you’re a fan of jazz or Nojazz, this is a band you’ll never forget. Freeze your calendars on the 15th and 16th of February.
